Nicole Kurtz

My work exists in the realm of childhood and make-believe.

I create larger-than-life sized interactive soft sculptures that question the viewer’s scale relationship – converting adults into back into children, and the already small children, into even tinier ones.

Size, scale, and material choices all play a role in manipulating the tactile with the intangible concepts and themes that accompany the fantastical.
